XtraFocus Pinhole

MORCHER has developed together with Dr. Claudio Trindade, MD a new pinhole intraocular implant.

It is a small aperture diaphragm, made of a foldable hydrophobic acrylic, with no refractive power, to be implanted in the ciliary sulcus of pseudophakic patients.

By reducing the size of the circle of confusion on the retina and extending depth of focus, it is able to improve vision in many cases.

The indications are:

  • Irregular Astigmatism
    Pellucid marginal degeneration
    Perforating corneal trauma
    Other corneal irregularities
  • Presbyopia
